‘Microbiome’ in plants refers to microbial communities inhabiting in a particular environment, creating a “mini ecosystem”. Plant-microbe interactions may be beneficial, neutral and /or harmful. Beneficial plant-microbe interactions are intense to enhance and promote growth, development and health of plants. In beneficial plant-microbe interactions, plants getting positive impact from microorganisms similarly microbes also receive benefits from plants in many ways such as increasing their survival under stress conditions, producing hormones which promotes their growth and preventing them from pathogen or disease attack. Interactions of several biotic and abiotic factors are considered important for best exploitation of the microbiomes to agricultural production.
